The City of Imperial Beach and EDCO are pleased to announce the 2015 Imperial Beach Annual Homefront Cleanup Event on Saturday, May 2 from 7 AM to 2 PM on Elm Ave. at Mar Vista High School. EDCO will accept the following items free of charge: appliances, furniture, yard waste, metal, concrete, asphalt, home-improvement debris and E-Waste.
They will also be offering free paper shredding/document destruction.
Seniors or physically disabled residents may call EDCO for a curbside pickup of no more than 5 bulky items. Senior pickups must be scheduled through EDCO (call 287-7555) no later than April 22.
Absolutely no items containing a hazardous waste such as gasoline in old lawn mowers will be accepted unless the hazardous waste has been removed. Hazardous wastes must be properly disposed of at Imperial Beach's designated Household Hazardous Waste Facility located in Chula Vista (619-691-5122).
